We've been working together since 1995, sharing the long journey discovering the nature of the string quartet relationship. We read through new music in search of pieces that we all want to work on. In the course of rehearsals, we have interesting discussions, some more vigorous than others. Most of all we have fun.
Nevine has performed house concerts, lunchtime concerts, and formal chamber music recitals. We play seminal works from the string quartet repertoire, and recent compositions by New Zealanders. As one of the chamber groups involving New Zealand Symphony Orchestra members, we have played in schools, retirement homes and concert hall foyers.
