Activities in 2006

Education Concerts

As we did in 2005, the Nevine String Quartet began its 2006 activities in April, with schools concerts in the South Island. These were part of the NZSO Education Programme, and were organised to fit in with the NZSO South Island tour sponsored by PGG Wrightson.

Chamber Music New Zealand Tour

This year we toured regional centres of New Zealand to play to music societies, under the auspices of Chamber Music New Zealand. The program was a varied one catering to most tastes, and featured Anthony Ritchie's very fine second quartet.

Stewart Island visit

Thanks to Robert's initiative and personal network, we visited Oban, on Stewart Island on Monday July 3rd and performed that evening. We hope to go there again, if we can.

North Island Education Concerts

Following on from our education concerts on the NZSO South Island tour earlier in the year, we did the same in centres in the North Island. It's always such a rewarding experience. On this tour we played in Kerikeri, Papakura, and Tauranga
